The Campus

  2. To be accepted to the 8th class: A boy must be over the age of 12 and under the age of 13 in September of the year he takes the entrance exam.

Admission Process

The Admissions Process at The Doon School is divided into two stages:

  1. In the first stage: Students must take an admission exam in one of India's main cities (Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Dehradun). Every year in November, the school administers a written exam. The test contains four sections: English, Mathematics, Scientific Approach, Reasoning & Case Study Response.
  2. In the second stage: Students who pass the written test are invited for a personal interview. The interviews are normally held in December at the School and in a few locations across India (Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai).
  3. However, after the eighth grade, the Doon School does not accept any students.

Syllabus and Exam Pattern

However, there is no specific examination syllabus provided by the Doon School. This is due to the fact that the exam covers courses that are currently taught at comparable schools. The examinations are intended for males from a wide range of educational backgrounds, including CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE, and state boards.
